Setting The Machine ID

The Machine Identification number (Machine ID) is a user defined six digit
code that is written into data discs copied using the CD-5916’s
SmartSTAMP feature.

To set the Machine ID the steps are as follows:

Turn on the power to the CD-5916 and wait for the screen depicted
below:

C H E C K I N G S Y S T E M . . .

While this is displayed, press and hold the “4” key for five seconds and
release. The screen will now read:

E N T E R I D :

Using the number keys on the keypad enter a six digit numeric Machine
ID. Press the “START/YES” key when satisfied with your selection (the
“STOP/NO” key can be used as a backspace key). After the
“START/YES” key is pressed the CD-5916 will continue starting up as
usual.
