Duration of drying cycle

The duration can vary according to:

- the speed of the final spin;

- the required degree of drying (extra dry, cupboard dry or iron dry)

- the type of laundry

- the size of load.

The chart on pages 34-35 shows normal drying times. With a little

experience, you will soon come to know the most suitable drying

times for your own laundry requirements.

Electronically controlled drying

Turn the programme selector knob to DRYING (cottons/coloureds

or easy cares).

DRYING selector buttons

With these buttons you can select the suitable degrees of dry­

ness.

The light corresponding to the selected dryness level comes on. It

goes out by depressing the button again.

You can choose also the delayed start option by depressing the

relevant button.

At the start of the drying programme the machine automatically

regulates the duration of the drying cycle: the clothes are dried
until the selected degree of dryness is reached.

The following are the degrees of final drying which can be
selected:

■ Extra Dry (only for cottons/coloureds)

Ideal for towelling materials (bathrobes, bath towels etc.).

■ Cupboard dry

Suitable for items which you want to put away without ironing.

■ Iron dry

Suitable for items which need ironing.

The laundry is slightly damp.

Porthole door lock

After having started the required drying programme, the door

stays locked throughout the whole cycle.

Fibre residues

After drying fabrics which lose bits of fibre, for example new
