8.1. Touchpanel
Optionally, the PENTA Medical i5/i7 IPC can be equipped with a projected capacitive touch with
multitouch-function. As the touch is bonded to real glass, it high contrast ratio and anti-reflective glass
surface guaranty a reliable functionality over the whole lifetime by giving the best transparency and
viewing angle.
8.2. Optical drive
The PENTA Medical i5/i7 can be equipped with an S-ATA II DVD-RW or other similar S-ATA I or S-
ATA II devices. The optical drive is positioned on the right side of the IPC. For more information on
available optical drives please contact your local sales representative.

8.3. Barcode scanner
The PENTA Medical i5/i7 can be equipped with a 2D-barcode scanner engine. For more information
on available barcode scanner modules please contact your local sales representative.

8.4. RFID-reader
The PENTA Medical i5/i7 can equipped with an RFID-reader. Please catch up on which RFID-reader
specification you need and ask your local sales representative for further information.

8.5. Galv. isolated RS232 (COM 2+3)
The PENTA Medical i5/i7 is equipped with three RS232 interfaces. Two of them can optionally be
ordered as galvanic isolated RS232 interfaces. COM1 cannot be ordered as galvanic isolated.

8.6. WLAN
The PENTA Medical i5/i7 can be equipped with a WLAN module. Please catch up on which WLAN
