• The Value box enables you to enter a numeric value.
• The Type box displays the type of the variable; this is always NUM for new variables
because only numeric variables can be used in expressions with numeric grids.
• The Alias box enables you to enter a character string that represents a substitute name for
the entry in the Expression box.
The Modify button opens the Variable Editor to enable you to edit the Alias of a list entry.
The Delete button enables you to delete the chosen entry.
The Expression box enables you to build the mathematical expression.
The following table explains the available function buttons, where X refers to a grid or variable name
representing a grid.
