carried out by the software after blade insertion and before blade extraction.
4.3 Replacing the Shelf Manager and Hub Board
The following sections describe the replacement procedures for the shelf manager and hub
board ATCA-MF105.
For more information on the MF105, please refer to the ATCA-MF105 Installation and Use
manual.
Product Damage
If you install blades and RTMs in the wrong sequence the blades and RTMs may be damaged.
First install the RTM, then install the matching blade.
Product Damage
Removing the RTM from the system while the payload of the front blade is powered up may
damage the front blade and RTM.
Whenever removing the RTM from the system, you have to power down the payload of the
front blade first. This does not apply to hot-swap RTMs.
If the shelf contains only one ATCA-MF105, you have to power down the shelf before
exchanging the ATCA-MF105.
