2. Remove lava rocks from lava tray and remove lava tray from around

the burner.

Designer River Rocks - Converting from H42DFN* to

HR42DFN*:

To convert your H42DF fireplace to an HR42DF unit with designer river

rocks, follow these instructions:

Kit Contents:

1. Remove existing ceramic logs from H42DF unit.

Note: Designer River Rock is approved for NG units only.

Optional Cultured Rocks
The HL42DF* has the option of installing the cultured rocks which mimic

real stone. These may be spaced at random or in a visual pattern of your

preference in the burner pan. See the Montigo web site for photographs
and ideas.

Installing Firestones in Natural Gas and Propane Fireplaces

The HL42DF* fireplace

is supplied with firestones. Remove the door.

Follow the instructions to ensure all parts are removed or replaced

as required. Once the glass door is removed place the firestones

randomly across the pan as described in Figure 27 to 27a.
