Before using the longitudinal fine feed handwheel disengage Selector Lever (1-
7) and the Selector Lever (I-III). Move the half-nut engagement lever to the
engaged position (handle pointing down). Turn the leadscrew handwheel to
feed the carriage assembly left or right. The movement is measured by the dial
on the right end of the leadscrew. This is a very precise feed that is used for
most lathe and mill operations.
