Setting up a T1
Loopback Set up your loopback following these steps:
1. Select a module from the module pull down menu.
2. Select a type of loopback from the type pull down menu.
3. Select whether this will be a continuous loop back or a 20-minute timeout.
4. Click on the Exec button to begin the loopback.

XCON Loopback Set up your loopback following these steps:
1. Select a module from the module pull down menu.
2. Click on the Exec button to begin the loopback.
The XCON loopback path through the cross connect passes the T1 Payload.
V OICE L OOPBACK Voice loopback loops an individual voice channel from the Receive In line to the
Transmit Out line. Figure 10 is a graphical representation of how the various
types of Voice Loopbacks are implemented through the SHARK™ IAD system.
Two types of T1 Loopbacks are supported:
