Variable output connector

— The balanced/unbalanced stereo

output to an amplifier from the 5-pole 3.5 mm captive screw
connector (see the diagrams below) is controlled by the Master
volume control knob on the front panel (see “Front Panel
Features” in this chapter). Adjust the speaker volume by using
the following sequence:

1.

Adjust the amplifier’s volume down to its minimum
setting.

2.

Adjust the Master volume control of the MVC to its default
level (volume = 80 when connecting to an unbalanced
consumer amp, or volume = 86 when connecting to a
balanced professional amp).

3.

Adjust the amplifier’s volume to the desired level.

4.

Make subsequent volume level adjustments by using the
MVC’s Master volume control.

Output devices cabled with two RCA male inputs may
be connected to the 5-pole 3.5 mm captive screw
connector using the Extron CSR 6 adapter,
part #26-575-01.

CAUTION

Connect the sleeve to ground (Gnd). Connecting
the sleeve to a negative (-) terminal will damage the
audio output circuits.
