User-set Transition Effects (User Transition)
Using the user transition feature lets you assign eight transition effects to the video fader. As the following figure shows, transition
effects are assigned to eight equally spaced positions along the stroke of the video fader.

Use the following procedure to make assignments.
• From the TRANSITION menu, select a user-setting number (USER 1 -- USER 4).
• Select the position to assign the transition effect (POSITION 1 -- POSITION 8).
You can also perform automatic switching at the tempo set using BPM as you apply a transition effect set to POSITION 1 through 8. Go to the
TRANSITION menu and select [SWITCHING], then select the setting from among the following. Selecting OFF results in no automatic switching.
• BPMx1 Automatic switching is performed at the tempo set using BPM.
• BPMx2 Automatic switching is performed at double the BPM tempo.
• BPMx4 Automatic switching is performed at four times the BPM tempo.
PinP Menu
Use the [PinP 1-4] button or [PinP 5-8] button to access the setup menu. Select a value from 1 to 8, then make the settings for the
following items.
PinP 1 -- 8 correspond to effect numbers 140 -- 147. You can access the settings for PinP 1 -- 8 by pressing the [EFFECTS] button.
SAVE CURRENT PinP This saves the current PinP settings.
H.POSITION 0 - 705 This specifies the position of the inset screen in the horizontal direction.
V.POSITION 0 - 239 This specifies the position of the inset screen in the vertical direction.
HV.SIZE 1 - 220 This adjusts the size of the inset screen at a fixed aspect ratio.
H.SIZE 1 - 220 This adjusts the horizontal size of the inset screen.
V.SIZE 1 - 220 This adjusts the vertical size of the inset screen.
BORDER 0 - 15 This adjusts the border width for the inset screen.
BORDER COLOR
BLACK, WHITE, GRAY, RED, GREEN, BLUE,
YELLOW, CYAN, MAGENTA, ORANGE,
GREN-CYAN, BLUE-MGNT, YELW-GREN,
BLUE-CYAN, PINK
This specifies the border color for the inset screen.
SHADOW 0 - 15 This specifies the length of the shadow added to the inset screen.
SHADOW COLOR
BLACK, WHITE, GRAY, RED, GREEN, BLUE,
YELLOW, CYAN, MAGENTA, ORANGE,
GREN-CYAN, BLUE-MGNT, YELW-GREN,
BLUE-CYAN, PINK
This specifies the color of the shadow added to the inset screen.
TRIMMING 0 - 30 This specifies the trimming width for the inset screen.
