Setting the date and time

The first time you turn on the camera, after setting the
language you must set the date (month, day, and year)
and time (hours and minutes). Once these settings are
made, the camera automatically records the date and
time that each image is taken.

Follow the steps below to set the clock using the LCD
monitor.

1.

After you finish making the language settings in
the previous section, a screen appears with the
month setting highlighted in red.

To change the order of the date display, press the
top button on the right side of the LCD monitor.
You can make the following settings: M.D.Y (for
month/day/year); D.M.Y (for day/month/year);
and Y.M.D (for year/month/day).

2.

To adjust the value of the highlighted item, use
the up and down arrow icon buttons.

To change which item is highlighted, use the right
and left arrow icon buttons.

3.

After setting the correct time and date, save the
settings by pressing the BACK button.

You are now ready to take pictures using your
PhotoPC 3100Z. Proceed to Chapter 2, “Taking
Pictures,”
for simple, step-by-step instructions.

If you need to change the date and time settings, see
“Setting the time and date” on page 4-19.

After taking photos, you can transfer the images to
your computer using EPSON Photo!4 and EPSON
AutoDownloader. See Chapter 5, “Using Images on
Your Computer.”
