Bar Scan

Effect Function parameter DMX value = 4

Selecting the Bar Scan creates a transparent pattern on the image that simulates a vertical line
that scans across the fixture array. This effect responds according to the values set in the
Transparent Color parameter, see Transparent Color on page 43.

Modifier 1: Adjusts the width of the bar from a single “pixel” wide at a value of to the full width
of the array minus one pixel.

Modifier 2: Adjusts the scan rate. At the midpoint of the range (DMX =127-128), the bar
pattern is static. DMX values below the midpoint move the bar in a negative direction along the
x-axis gradually increasing scan speed to a maximum at a DMX value = 0. DMX values above
the midpoint move the bar in a positive direction along the x-axis gradually increasing scan
speed to a maximum at a DMX value = 255 (100%).

Brightness and Contrast

Effect Function parameter DMX value = 8

This effect will adjust the brightness and/or contrast of the visible image to create either a more
pastel or a richer color.

Modifier 1: Adjusts the brightness of the image. At DMX value = 128 (50%) there is no
adjustment. DMX values below the midpoint of the range decrease the brightness to a minimum
at a DMX value = 0. DMX values above the midpoint of the range increase the brightness to a
maximum at a DMX value of 255 (100%).

Modifier 2: Adjusts the contrast of the image. At DMX value = 128 (50%) there is no
adjustment. DMX values below the midpoint of the range decrease the contrast to a minimum at
a DMX value = 0. DMX values above the midpoint of the range increase the contrast to a
maximum at a DMX value of 255 (100%).
