Receiving SMS messages
When you receive SMS messages, they appear in the Inbox category. The icons to the right and
left of the description indicate the item status and whether the message contains a data record.
Note: You can receive SMS messages even if you don’t subscribe to your wireless service
provider’s SMS service.
To receive and view text messages:
1. Connect your handheld to your GSM mobile phone. See page 180 for details.
2. From any SMS list view, press Menu .
3. Under Message, select Check (/H).
Tip: You can also check for incoming messages and send any messages in your outbox
simultaneously by tapping Send & Check.
4. Use the scroll buttons to select the message you want to view.
5. Press Space to open the message.
6. Tap one of the following buttons:
Done Saves the message in the Inbox category and marks the message as read.
Reply Opens the new message dialog box, and addresses the message to the
person who sent you the message.
Delete Moves the current message to the Trash category.
