7 After Installing or Upgrading the OpenVMS Operating
System
After you have installed or upgraded the OpenVMS operating system, you must perform several
important tasks to prepare the system for operation.
Section 7.1 (page 125) includes a checklist
that you can use to make sure you perform all the postinstallation or postupgrade tasks necessary
for your system.
7.1 Postinstallation and Postupgrade Tasks
Use the checklist in Table 7-1 to ensure that you perform all necessary postinstallation or
postupgrade tasks. Unless indicated otherwise, these tasks are applicable as both postinstallation
and postupgrade tasks.
