Slide the battery compartment cover to the front and to
remove it.

Pull the battery out of its compartment.

Follow the instructions listed below to replace the battery.
1.
Turn your laptop off.
2.
Locate the battery release latch.
3.
Pull the release latch to the left and hold it in an open
position.
4.
Slide the battery compartment cover to the front to
remove it.
5.
Place the battery into the compartment until it is firmly
seated. The battery fits only one way; battery connector
should be facing down when placed into the battery
compartment.
6.
Slide the battery compartment cover until the release
latch locks.
Do not remove the battery when system is on.
This may cause damage to your laptop. Make
sure that you shutdown properly before
removing the battery, refer to page 17 for more
information on turning your system off.
