In developing the SC11S1 Marantz engineers took as much as possible from the Reference Series SC7S2. For
example, the full balanced layout in-current feedback technology was applied, guaranteeing excellent signal
integrity. Then the Wolfson high linear electric volume control and the new version of small signal amplifier
HDAM – specially developed by Marantz – were added. The unit now incorporates the HDAM-SA2, which
guarantees precision high-speed signal handling over a wide frequency range. It also uses high precision Melf
resistors to minimise tolerances – essential for audio integrity. While the high quality in-current feedback phono
amplifier for the MM / MC system makes external phono amplifier obsolete. And for advanced systems the
floating control bus allows bi-amp and multi-channel set-ups. It all adds up to a scintillating audio experience with
crystal clear transparency.

The new SM11S1 is powerful. Very powerful. That’s because it takes as much as possible from the highly
acclaimed Reference Series MA9S2. The result? A powerful, highly dynamic stereo main amplifier, offering an
open, transparent, and precision sound.
As you would expect, this current feedback technique amplifier can easily handle demanding loudspeakers. For
extreme set-ups, the bridge mode (BTL mode) can convert the stereo amplifier SM11S1 to a 400 W mono
amplifier. The two-stage circuit construction (voltage amplification first to increase audio signal, buffer
amplification second to ensure high current delivery) guarantees an excellent signal to noise ratio and the full
control of any speaker. Thanks to the adjustable gain factor the SM11S1 can also upgrade the PM11S1 integrated
amplifier, creating an excellent bi-amp systemset up. Switching on / off can be remote controlled via a DC trigger
from SC11S1 or other sources. Prepare to be exhilarated to a scintillating audio experience with crystal clear
transparency.
