RS-232C External Control

Control of this unit is possible via a computer, control system or other device by connecting the de-
vice to the projector with a RS-232C cross cable (D-sub 9 pins). The commands to control this unit
and the response data format against the received commands are as follows.
For details, please consult your authorized dealer.

1 Communication Specifications
Communication specifications for this unit are as follows:
Baud Rate: 9600/19200 bps (19200 bps default)
Data Length: 8 bit
Parity: None
Stop Bit: bit
Flow Control: None

2 Command Format

A Command data format
When sending a control command to the projector, use the following data format:

(Bracketed section is not necessary for Request command)
Header

: Designates the head of data and the data type.

! (21hex): Assigns command to the projector (Command)

? (3Fh): Query to the projector (Request command)

ID

: 1: Identification number of the projector (Factory setting is 1)

SP

: Designates the delimiter for ID, Command and Parameter. (20h)

CR

: Designates the terminal of the data. (0Dh)

B Response data format
Upon executing a control command it has received, this unit sends back the following response
data to the device:

SP Normal Termination Status SP Parameter CR

Header

: Designates the head of the data.

@ (40hex): Fetches data from the projector

ID

: 1: Identification number of the projector (Factory setting is 1)

SP

: Designates the delimiter for ID, Command and Parameter. (20h)

Normal Termination Status : 0 (30h)
CR

: Designates the terminal of the data. (0Dh)

C Parameters used for the data format
The following 3 types of parameters are used for command and response data:
(1) Numeric value
(2) ON/OFF
(3) Special parameters
