PCI Interrupt Request Routing

The IRQ, acronym of interrupt request line and pronounced I-R-Q, are hardware lines
over which devices can send interrupt signals to the microprocessor. The PCI IRQ
pins are typically connected to the PCI bus INT A# ~ INT D# pins as follows:

This mainboard provides one AGP Pro slot and four 32-bit/33MHz PCI slots.

PCI (Peripheral Component Interconnect) Slots

The PCI slots allow you to insert the expansion cards to meet your needs. W hen
adding or removing expansion cards, make sure that you unplug the power supply
first. Meanwhile, read the documentation for the expansion card to make any neces-
sary hardware or sof tware settings for the expansion card, such as jumpers,
switches or BIOS configuration.

AGP (Accelerated Graphics Port) Pro Slot

AGP Pro is a Hardware Interface for high-power graphics cards which can deliver
more electrical power than the standard AGP Hardware Interface. It is simply an
extended slot that adds power pins to both ends of the slot to facilitate certain
graphics cards' added power requirements. Because of its added pins, an AGP Pro
card won't fit into a standard slot.
For the same reason, however, motherboards with a wider AGP Pro slot can accom-
modate a standard card. In this case, the added power pins of an AGP Pro slot go
safely unused.
