19. Menu Lock
The “Menu Lock” menu item allows you to protect the setting
items below the top menu by password.
1.
From Stop, press and hold the DISPLAY button for one
second.
2.
Press the VOL + or VOL – button to select Preset Menu. Then
press the 1/3/ENTER button to accept.
3.
Press the VOL + or VOL – button to select Preset 1, 2, 3 or
renamed Preset. Then press the 1/3/ENTER button to accept
the selected Preset.
4.
Press the VOL + or VOL – button to select “Edit” and press the
1/3/ENTER button to accept.
5.
Press the VOL + or VOL – button to select the Menu Lock
item.
Then press the
8 or 9 button to tab through the Menu
Lock choices (On or Off).
6.
Press the VOL + or VOL – button to select other Menu
choices. When changing the Preset is complete, press the
DISPLAY button to store the changes, or press the STOP/
CANCEL button to exit Menu mode without storing any
changes.
20. Passcode
This is the encryption key used for encrypted recording. When
the “Menu Lock” is turned on, it is also used as the password.

From Stop, press and hold the DISPLAY button for one
second.

Press the VOL + or VOL – button to select Preset Menu. Then
press the 1/3/ENTER button to accept.
3.
Press the VOL + or VOL – button to select Preset 1, 2, 3 or
renamed Preset. Then press the 1/3/ENTER button to accept
the selected Preset.
4.
Press the VOL + or VOL – button to select “Edit” and press the
1/3/ENTER button to accept.
5.
Press the VOL + or VOL – button to select the Passcode item.
Then press the VOL + or VOL – button to change the
character.
• The number increases between 0 and 9 each time the VOL
+ button is pressed, and decreases between 0 and 9 each
time the VOL – button is pressed.
• Press the 8 or 9 button to move the cursor.
6.
Either press the 1/3/ENTER button or press the 9 button
with the cursor set at the last character to enter the passcode.
• Inputting can be cancelled by pressing the STOP/CANCEL
button.
