Installing

SFPs

and

SFPs

are

inserted

into

the

ports,

and

then

fibre-channel

cables

are

connected

to

the

SFPs.

For

information

on

installing

SFPs

and

You

can

add

up

to

configure

the

DS4100

with

the

maximum

number

of

DS4000

EXP100s

at

the

time

of

initial

installation.

You

can

add

additional

DS4000

EXP100s

to

an

existing

(up

to

the

maximum

number

EXP100s

supported

in

a

drive

loop)

as

you

need

more

capacity.

Important

There

might

be

a

requirement

for

new

firmware

to

support

the

maximum

number

of

DS4000

EXP100s

in

a

drive

loop.

Always

add

new

DS4000

EXP100s

when

the

DS4100

is

powered

on

and

in

optimal

state.

Do

not

add

new

DS4000

EXP100s

when

the

DS4100

is

powered

down.

Before

you

cable

DS4000

EXP100s

to

a
