2.2 SERIES CHARGING

Batteries of the same type and voltage rating may be connected in series for charging. The char-

ger’s VOLTAGE setting equals the sum of the individual battery voltages and the current through

each equals the amount of charge showing on the ammeter.

Example: Charging two 2-volt batteries in series requires a 24-volt charger (VOLTAGE) setting.

If the ammeter shows 30 amps, each battery will be getting a 30-amp charge.

13. ATTACHING THE CHARGER HANDLE

CAUTION: THE CHARGER MUST BE FULLY ASSEMBLED BEFORE OPERATING.

3. Locate the handle and four screws provided. The charger comes with one of two types of handles.

3.2 Remove the top two screws at the rear from both sides of the charger.

3.3 Straddle the handle over the charger and align the mounting holes. If the charger has the Type 2

handle, make sure the handle is flush with the edge of the charger. Refer to the drawing below.

3.4 Attach the handle with the four screws and tighten securely.
