The ringer volume is the same for all types

of ring.
With the handset in idle status, open the

Activating/deactivating the ringer

You can turn off the ringer on your hand-

set before you take a call or while the

phone is in the idle state. The ringer can-

not be re-activated while an external call is

in progress.

Deactivating the ringer

Press the star key and hold

until you can no longer hear

the ringer tone.

Re-activating the ringer

P

Press the star key long.

Activating/deactivating the
suppression of the first ring tone

The phone identifies an incoming SMS

from the first network signal.

Please note:

If first ringer tone suppression is deacti-

vated, then every incoming SMS will be

signalled by a ring tone. If you take this

type of "call" at the first ring tone, you will

lose the SMS.

Activating/deactivating
advisory tones

Your handset uses ‘advisory tones’ to tell

you about different activities and statuses.

The following advisory tones can be acti-

vated and deactivated independently of

each other:

Key beep: Each key press is acknowl-

edged.

u

Acknowledge tones:
Confirmation beep (rising tone

sequence): at the end of an entry/

setting, when the handset is placed

in the base station and on arrival of

an SMS or a new entry in the calls

list.

Error beep (descending tone

sequence): when you make an

incorrect entry.

Menu end tone: when scrolling at

the end of a menu.

u

Battery low beep: the battery needs to

be charged.

The confirmation beep when the handset

is placed in the base cannot be deacti-

vated.

Advertising
