You can turn the Vocal function on and off using “VOCAL” in

the Karaoke Control Menu display

Select “VOCAL” in the Karaoke Control Menu display (page 47),
select “ON” or “OFF” using

M/m, and then press ENTER.

You can select the vocals

When the Vocal function is set to on, you can change the guide
vocal by pressing VOCAL SELECT. See “Selecting the Vocals”
(page 51).

Notes

• When you turn the Vocal function on, the Vocal Support

function is automatically turned off (page 52).

• When you turn the Vocal function on and off while playing a

Super VCD, the sound may cut off for a moment.

Selecting the Vocals (Vocal
Select)

After you have set Vocal (page 50) or Vocal Support (page
52) to “ON,” you can change the guide vocal channel.
You can select different kinds of vocals when using the
Vocal or Vocal Support function.

When playing a DVD
During playback, press VOCAL SELECT.
Each time you press VOCAL SELECT, the guide vocal
channel changes as follows:

1+2 (Guide vocal 1+2)

m

1 (Guide vocal 1)

m

2 (Guide vocal 2)

Notes

• This function works only with the Dolby Digital Karaoke

format.

• Depending on the DVD, you may not be able to do the

operations above.

• If only one guide vocal is recorded in the disc, you can select

only “1.”
