When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always
be observed, including the following:

1. READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS.
2. Unplug cord from wall outlet when not in use and before cleaning.

Allow to cool before putting on or taking off parts and before cleaning.

3. To protect against electrical shock, do not immerse cord, plug or base

in water or other liquid.

4. Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs.
5. Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by

or near children.

6. Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after

the appliance malfunctions, or is dropped or damaged in any manner.
Return appliance to the nearest Sunbeam Appliance authorized service
center for examination, repair or electrical or mechanical adjustment.

7. The use of attachments not recommended or sold by Sunbeam may

cause fire, electrical shock or injury.

8. Do not use outdoors or for commercial purposes.
9. Do not let cord hang over edge of table or counter or touch

hot surfaces, including the stove.

10. Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a heated oven.
11. Extreme caution must be used when using an appliance containing

hot oil or other hot liquids.

12. To disconnect Slow Cooker, turn control to “OFF,” then remove plug

from wall outlet.

: To prevent damage or shock hazard, do not cook in base.

Cook only in removable crock.

14. Avoid sudden temperature changes, such as adding refrigerated foods

into a heated pot.

15. Do not use appliance for other than the intended use.
16. Avoid contact with moving parts.
