Deactivating the room monitor
remotely

Requirements: The phone must support

touch tone dialling and the room monitor

is set for an external destination number.

Take the call from the room monitor

and press keys

The room monitor function will deactivate

after the call ends. There will be no further

room monitor calls. The other room moni-

tor settings (e.g. no ringtone) on the

handset will remain activated until you

press the display key

To reactivate the room function with the

same phone number:

Setting the Walky-Talky
mode

The Walky-Talky function allows two hand-

sets to communicate with each other no

matter how far they are from the base sta-

tion.
Example:

You go on holiday and take two

handsets with Walky-Talky functionality

with you. Set the Walky-Talky function on
both handsets

Requirement:

One

of the following requirements must

be met.

u

Both handsets are registered to the

same base station.

u

Both handsets are registered to differ-

ent bases and both are set to

Best Base

(page 6).

u

One of the handsets is not registered to

any base station and the registered

handset is set to best base.

u

Neither handset is registered to a base

station.

Please note:

u

In Walky-Talky mode, the range

between the handsets is a maximum of

300 m in the open.

u

The handsets cannot be reached by

incoming calls.

u

The Walky-Talky mode severely short-

ens the handset operating times.

u

The Walky-Talky mode is retained even

when you switch your handset off and

back on.
