Re-activating the ringtone
* Press the star key and hold.
Cancelling the ringtone for the current call
§Silence§ Press the display key.
Activating/deactivating the alert tone
Instead of a ringtone, you can activate an
alert tone. When you get a call, you will
hear a short tone ("Beep") instead of the
ringtone.

Press and hold the star key
and within 3 seconds:
§Beep on§§ Press the display key. A call is
now signalled by one brief
alert tone. You will now see
º in the display.
Sound Manager
The handset's Sound Manager manages
ringtones and sounds which you can use
as ringtone melodies. It can manage the
following sound types:
The icon is displayed in front of the name
in the Sound Manager. Your phone has
3 Ù and 17 × as default settings. You can
neither delete or rename these default
sounds.
You can download sounds in .psf- and
iMelody format from a PC (page 29).
You can listen to existing sounds and
rename or delete sounds that you have
downloaded onto your handset.
Playing back sounds

q (Select entry)
§Play§ Press the display key. Sounds
are played. Change between
entries using the key q.
§End§ Press the display key. Play back
is ended.
a Press and hold (idle status).
Whilst you are playing sounds, you can
adjust the volume using the display key
§Volume§ .
If you have saved a sound in an invalid
data format, you will receive an error mes-
sage after selecting the entry. The opera-
tion is cancelled by pressing Î .
The sound is deleted by pressing §Delete§ .
Renaming/deleting sounds
You have selected an entry. If a sound can-
not be deleted ( è), these options are not
available.

Depending on the situation, you can
select the following functions:
Rename
Select and press §OK§ . Change name
(max. 16 characters, do not use spaces
or special characters) and press §OK§ .
The entry is saved with its new name.
Delete Entry
The selected entry is deleted. A deleted
ringtone melody is automatically
replaced. A deleted ringtone melody
for VIP calls or anniversaries is not auto-
matically replaced.
