Docking Station

What should I do if an error message appears when I disconnect the docking station from
my computer?

❑ While any device inserted or connected to the docking station is in use or the optical disc drive is writing data to a disc,

you cannot disconnect the docking station from your computer. Save unsaved data, exit applications that are using such
devices, and then try again.
If the above does not work, shut down your computer and disconnect the docking station from the computer.

❑ When the battery pack is running out of power, you cannot disconnect the docking station from your computer. Charge

the battery pack or shut down the computer and then try again.

❑ Be sure to return to the originally logged on user before disconnecting the docking station from your computer.

Disconnecting it as any other user may cause malfunctions.
For switching users, see Windows Help and Support.

❑ Close certain software applications which are using the graphics accelerator, such as game software, video playback

software, or web browsers, before disconnecting the docking station from your computer.

Why doesn't the IN USE indicator light turn off even after the docking station is
disconnected from my computer?

If the docking station is disconnected from your computer while the IN USE indicator light is lit, the indicator light stays lit. To
turn off the IN USE indicator light:
❑ Disconnect the docking station from an AC power source.
❑ Connect the docking station to the computer again and disconnect it properly. See Disconnecting the Docking Station

from Your Computer
