Then lower the cutting height of the cutter and cut the
vegetation a second time. If possible, select a cutting
pattern that is at a 90 degree angle to the first pass to
reduce streaking and provide a more even cut.

Large, dense, or wet vegetation may need to be cut in
two or more passes to achieve a uniform cut. In such
conditions, raise the cutting height to 12” or more on
the first pass.

When you get to the end of a pass, slightly raise the
cutter (2-4”) before turning. Never raise the cutter
entirely while the blades are turning. If the cutter must
be raised higher than 12” from ground level, disengage
the tractor PTO and wait for all cutter rotation to come
to a complete stop before proceeding to raise the
cutter.
