Preventing misuse of the telephone
You can prevent unauthorised persons from using your
telephone during your absence.
Precondition: You have been assigned a personal iden-
tification number (PIN) by System Support.
Preventing unauthorised dialling:
n Lift the handset.
qhm or qel UK code or Standard code
or qmf Euro code
or Enter the code which has been programmed for you.
and
p Enter the PIN (code number).
t Replace the handset.
Enabling the telephone again:
n Lift the handset.
rhm or rel UK code or Standard code
or rmf Euro code
or Enter the code which has been programmed for you.
and
p Enter the PIN (code number).
t Replace the handset.
Enter the code!
When the telephone is disabled in this way, a
special dial tone is audible when the handset is
lifted. Internally (within HiPath 4000), dialling is
possible in the usual way.
