It is possible to set up a customized workout on the treadmill and store it in the console memory. Customization involves
selecting one of four workout types and setting values for various attributes, such as the workout

goal, to suit personal preferences. Once a CUSTOM workout is saved, it can be accessed through the MY WORKOUT
key.

To select the CUSTOM workout, press the MY WORKOUT key repeatedly until the MESSAGE CENTER displays "CUS-
TOM." Then, press ENTER. The workout begins immediately. If the CUSTOM program has not been edited, the user
does not experience any automatic changes during the workout. See the following section for instructions.

Press the MY WORKOUT key repeatedly until the MESSAGE CENTER displays "CUSTOM." Press, and hold down, the
ENTER key until the console beeps twice, indicating that the custom program is in "edit" mode.

At the MESSAGE CENTER prompt, select a program type to be customized, using the ARROW keys. Options include,
HILL, RANDOM, MANUAL, or HEART RATE, which is a HeartSync workout. For more information, see Section 3, titled
HeartSync Exercise. When the desired option appears, press ENTER.

The MESSAGE CENTER then displays prompts to set values for various attributes. See the chart below. For each attrib-
ute, scroll through values displayed in the MESSAGE CENTER, and press ENTER to select desired values. After the
speed value is entered, the workout begins. While a CUSTOM workout is in progress, it is possible make changes in
workout attributes, including:
