Operation
Operations
General playback features
1. Load your chosen disc in the tray, with the playback side down.
2. Start playback using the HOME menu (See page 9).
Buttons Operations
OPEN / CLOSE (
Z) Opens or closes the disc tray.
x (STOP)
Stops the playback.
The unit records the stopped point, depending on the
disc. “
Xx” appears on the screen briefly. Press
N (PLAY) to resume playback (from the scene point). If
you press STOP (
x) again or unload the disc (“x”
appears on the screen.), the unit will clear the stopped
point. (
Xx = Resume Stop, x = Complete Stop)
Note:
The resume point may be cleared when a button is
pressed (for example; POWER, OPEN/CLOSE, etc).
On HD DVD advanced title and BD interactive title, the
unit will be in Complete Stop mode if you press STOP
once during playback.
RESUME PLAY Disc menu will appear if you press DISC MENU once.
To resume playback, press RESUME PLAY.
Notes:
• The RESUME PLAY may not work on some discs.
• On other disc, RESUME PLAY is operated as
N (PLAY).
X (PAUSE)
During playback, press
X to pause playback.
Tip: During Audio CD or MP3/WMA playback, press X
once again to resume playback.
Press
X repeatedly to play Frame-by-Frame.
Note: X (PAUSE) button’s operation are differ depend-
ing on the [Slow/Step] option setting on the setup menu.

. / > (SKIP) During playback, press . or > to go to the next
chapter/track or to return to the beginning of the current
chapter.
Press
. twice briefly to step back to the previous
chapter/track.
m / M (SCAN) During playback, press SCAN ( m or M) repeatedly
to select the required scan speed.
- DVD, HD DVD, BD: 5 steps,
- Audio CD, MP3, WMA: 3 steps
While the playback is paused, press SCAN
M repeat-
edly to play in slow motion (4 steps, forward only).
Note: M (SCAN) button’s operation are differ depend-
ing on the [Slow/Step] option setting on the setup menu.
