Movie Rating / TV Rating-Children
Movie Rating (MPAA) (for USA)
This option blocks movies according to movie ratings limits. You
can set the ratings limit by blocking out all movies with ratings
above a specifi ed level. Note that the movie ratings limit only
applies to movies shown on TV, not TV programs, such as soap
operas.
1. Press MENU on the Installer Remote, and use the arrow
navigation keys to select/highlight the LOCK menu option.
Then, press ENTER.
2. If prompted for it, enter the Lock System password.
3. Use the Up/Down arrows to select Movie Rating, and then
press ENTER.
4. Use the Up/Down arrows to select the appropriate block option
from the Movie Rating pop-up window. Then, press ENTER.
(Example: If you set the movie rating limit to PG-13, G and PG
movies will be available, while PG-13, R, NC-17, and X movies
will be blocked.)
5. Press MENU to return to TV viewing, or press RETURN to
return to the previous menu level.
TV Rating-Children (for USA)
This option blocks children’s TV programs based on ratings.
Note that children’s TV ratings do not apply to other TV pro-
grams. Unless you block certain TV programs intended for
mature audiences (see TV Rating-General option), children can
view those programs.
1. Press MENU on the Installer Remote, and use the arrow
navigation keys to select/highlight the LOCK menu option.
Then, press ENTER.
2. If prompted for it, enter the Lock System password.
3. Use the Up/Down arrows to select TV Rating-Children, and
then press ENTER.
4. In the TV Rating pop-up window, use the Up/Down arrows to
select Age or Fantasy Violence. Then, press ENTER.
• Age: Enables you to block programming for all children or
for children under 7 years of age.
• Fantasy Violence: Enables you to block programming for
children under 7 years of age.
5. In the second TV Rating pop-up window, select the desired
block option, and then press ENTER.
6. In the initial pop-up window, select Close and press ENTER
to close the pop-up window and return to the Lock Menu.
7. Press MENU to return to TV viewing, or press RETURN to
return to the previous menu level.
