The control device at the head end, for example, an FMA-LG101 or a PCS150R, can control multiple STBs.
When the STB1000 is first installed, it must be turned ON in order for the head end to be able to communicate
with the b-LAN. At this point, if it is desired for the b-LAN to always be powered, including while the TV is in
Standby, set Installer Menu item 118 POWER SAVINGS to 001.

The b-LAN module is internal to the STB1000. It allows the hotel/institution head end equipment to communi-
cate, via the institution’s RF distribution system, with the STB1000 for configuration and control. The b-LAN
module also comprises the data tuner required for Pro:Centric operation.

Power to the b-LAN module is controlled by Installer Menu item 118 POWER SAVINGS. The default value is
003—the b-LAN module is only powered when the STB is turned ON. See chart below.
