Wear Strips
To avoid excessive tunnel or cooler damage, wear strips must be
installed whenever track studding is used. See your dealer for more
information.
Wear strips are designed for a specific stud length. See your dealer’s
studding chart for recommended traction accessories.
Components as viewed from the rear of the track:
1. Top of tunnel
2. Wear strip
3. Track
4. Wear strip mounting holes
CAUTION
Never add shims to the wear strip. Track damage will result due to lack of
clearance between upper carrier wheels and track.
CAUTION
Whenever wear strips are relocated, be sure there’s adequate stud clearance
to the heat exchangers. Lack of clearance may result in damage to heat
exchangers.
