Changing the unit’s settings
Refer to control reference on page 37.
This setting is only reflected when playing multi-channel audio. There is no effect with two-channel audio.
(Center and surround speakers only)
For optimum listening with 5.1-channel sound, all the speakers,
except for the subwoofer, should be the same distance from the
seating position. If you have to place the center or surround
speakers closer to the seating position, adjust the delay time to
make up for the difference.
1 Press [ , ] to select the delay time box and press [ENTER].
2 Press [ , ] to adjust the delay time and press [ENTER].
3 Press [ , , ] to select “Complete” and press [ENTER].

Adjust each speaker level to the same level to get appropriate
surround effects.
pThis cannot be set when headphones are connected.
1 Press [ , ] to select “Test” and press [ENTER].
A Test signal is output from each speaker in a clockwise motion.
Signals are also output from the front speakers, but they cannot
be adjusted. Use this when adjusting other speakers for
comparison. When the test signal is being output, press [
, ]
to lengthen the time of the test signal.
2 Press [ , ] to select the desired level for each speaker
while test signal is being output.
pCenter: –6 dB to +6 dB
pSurround (L/R): –6 dB to +6 dB
To stop test signal
Press [RETURN].
To return to the previous screen
Press [RETURN].
To exit the screen
Press [SETUP].
