Easy playback of clips on the hard
drive (For viewing materials)
Easy playback of clips saved on the hard drive can
be performed.

Display the thumbnail display screen of the
clips on the hard drive. (Page 6)

With cross cursor operation, move the
cursor to the clip you wish to play back.

Press .
The clip is played back.
The basic operation is the same as clip playback
operation (Page 57). There are some different
points as below.
Depending on the playback format, playback
proceeds while some images are skipped.
Depending on the performance of hard drive
or usage status, proper playback may not be
possible.
This unit does not support slow playback.
No sound will be output during variable-speed
playback.
Text memos and shot marks cannot be added
to the hard drive materials regardless of while
playing back or displaying thumbnails.
Do not make an impact on the hard drive.
When the P2 store operation setting, “Impact
detection in USB mode” is ON, and if you make
an impact on P2 store while the clip on the hard
drive is played, the playback may stop and the
thumbnail display screen may be restored.
While the easy playback of a clip on the hard drive
is performed, do not insert or eject the P2 card.
The subsequent operations may become invalid.
Time code (TC/UB) is output discontinuously. •

Deleting clips on the hard drive
You can delete unwanted clips from a FAT hard
drive by proceeding as follows.

Display the thumbnail display screen of the
clips on the hard drive. (Page 6)

Select the clips to be deleted.

Press [MENU/MODE CHK].

Using , and , select “OPERATION”–
“DELETE”, and press .

Select “YES”, and press .

When the completion message has
appeared, press “OK” ( ).
It may not be possible to delete clips for which
the
X defective clip indicator or ? unknown clip
indicator is displayed.
