To set the HotSync options on a Macintosh:

1. Double-click the HotSync Manager icon in the Palm folder.

2. Click the HotSync Controls tab and select any of the following

options.

Serial Port

Identifies the port that HotSync Manager uses
to communicate with the cradle/cable. The
Palm Desktop installation software
automatically detects the port to which you
connected the cradle/cable. If necessary, you
can change the port selection.

Note: Your handheld cannot share this port

with an internal modem or other
device.

Speed

Determines the speed at which data is
transferred between your handheld and Palm
Desktop software. Try the As Fast As Possible
rate first, and adjust downward if you
experience problems. This setting allows Palm
Desktop software and your handheld to find
and use the fastest speed.
