Intercom
(Cordless\Handset) (Base\Unit)
A 2-way intercom is possible between the cordless handset and the base unit.
Paging the base unit from the cordless handset
1 Cordless handset:
Press
(CLEAR/INTERCOM/HOLD) .
Talk to the paged party after the beeps.
≥ “ Intercom ” is displayed.
2 Base unit:
When the other party’s voice is
heard, lift the handset or talk into
the MIC.
3 To end the intercom, press
(OFF) on the cordless
handset.
OR
When using the handset, place the handset on the cradle.
When using the speakerphone, press
(LOCATOR/INTERCOM) .
Paging the cordless handset from the base unit (Handset
locator)
Using this feature, you can locate a misplaced cordless handset.
1 Base unit:
Lift the handset and press
(LOCATOR/INTERCOM) within 5 seconds.
≥ The cordless handset beeps for 1 minute and displays “ Paging
Press INTERCOM ”.
≥ To stop paging, place the handset on the cradle.
2 Cordless handset:
Press
(CLEAR/INTERCOM/HOLD) to answer.
≥ “ Intercom ” is displayed.
3 Base unit:
Talk into the handset.
4 To end the intercom, press (OFF) on the cordless handset.
OR
Place the handset on the cradle.
≥ In step 1, the base unit user can also page by pressing (LOCATOR/INTERCOM)
directly. You do not need to lift the handset.
—If the cordless handset user does not answer, press
(LOCATOR/INTERCOM)
to stop paging.
≥ —If the cordless handset user answers, talk into the MIC.
To end the intercom from the base unit, press (LOCATOR/INTERCOM) .
