Optional Equipment
National Instruments offers a variety of products for use with your
PCI-1428, including the following cables and other National Instruments
products:
•
A breakout cable for triggering. Use one of the following IMAQ
cables:
–
IMAQ D682604-1 breakout cable for triggering and Medium
Configuration (with an MDR 26-pin connector on a second
Camera Link cable)
–
IMAQ D6804 breakout cable for all other triggering
•
RTSI bus cables for connecting the PCI-1428 to other IMAQ or DAQ
hardware
•
Other National Instruments DAQ devices for enhanced triggering,
timing, or input/output

How to Set up Your IMAQ System
Use Figure 2-1 as a guide while you install your software and hardware,
configure your hardware, and begin using NI-IMAQ in your application
programs.
Follow the instructions in the Getting Started with Your IMAQ System
document to install your NI-IMAQ software and IMAQ hardware.
If you will be accessing the NI-IMAQ device drivers through LabVIEW,
read the NI-IMAQ release notes and the NI-IMAQ User Manual to help you
get started.
