Charging the Battery Packs
Your radio is powered by a specially designed Lithium Ion battery pack.
• Before operating the uh078sx Deluxe, charge the Lithium Ion battery pack
for 5 hours without interruption in the drop-in charger or 3.5 hours without
interruption in the cigarette lead charger.
For the initial battery charge, make sure the radio is off for optimum
charging.
The drop-in charger can charge the Lithium Ion battery
pack attached to the uh078sx Deluxe in the front
charging slot and also charge a second Lithium Ion
battery pack separately in the rear charging slot.
When you charge the 2nd battery, be sure to push it all
the way into the
charge slot.
1. Place the uh078sx Deluxe in the drop-in or cigarette lead
charger.
2. The red LEDs illuminate and stay ON, until fully charged.
• The charger won’t overcharge the battery packs. When
charging is completed, the charge LED is no longer
illuminated.
• Do not transmit while charging in the drop-in charger.
• Incoming calls can be monitored while the uh078sx
Deluxe is in the drop-in charger but for optimum
charging, turn off the uh078sx Deluxe.
