CLEAN YOUR ELECTRIC KETTLE BEFORE USING FOR THE FIRST TIME

Make sure your first cup of hot water is as good as can be by cleaning your VillaWare

®

Electric Kettle before its first use. Just follow these simple steps:
1. Wash the inside of the kettle and lid with mild detergent and water. Rinse each

thoroughly. Do not immerse the kettle or power base in water or any other liquid.

These items are not dishwasher safe.

2. Fill the electric kettle with fresh water to the “MAX” water level mark on water window.

Boil the water, following the directions below for use of your kettle.

3. When the water and unit have cooled, discard the water. Rinse with cold water and

repeat.

4. Your electric kettle is now ready for use.

NOTE:

Do not exceed the “MAX” marker indicated on the

kettle’s dual water windows. Your VillaWare

one on each side of the unit, making it easy to monitor the water level for both right

and left handed users.
Adjust the temperature by turning the variable temperature dial

to select one of the following temperatures: 40°C, 60°C, 80°C,

90°C or 100°C (Boil) (Figure 2).
Push the power button on “

After the 3 beeps, you will have approximately 5 seconds to make your selection.
While the water is heating, or the unit is on the keep warm setting, the VillaWare

7.

®

electric kettle has a temperature memory which allows you to remove it from the base

for up to 2 minutes to serve while maintaining the selected temperature setting. Once

kettle is placed back in the base, it will continue to heat until it reaches the desired

temperature.
If you wish to select the keep warm function, your VillaWare

8.

®

electric kettle will

maintain the selected temperature for up to 30 minutes after the heating process has

finished. The amber light ring will stay illuminated while the keep warm function is

active. You can repeat this selection for an additional 30 minutes at the end of every
