• At times, the highlighted word is
the first word of a multi-word
heading, in which case the
definition of the heading will be
displayed.
• If the highlighted word is a
compound, see Scanning
Compounds, on p. 31.
• If the highlighted word is the
second part of a split verb, see
Scanning Split Verbs, on p. 28.
• In all these cases, the Word List
(see p. 25) will display additional
headwords.
Continue Scanning
You can scan again while in the Word
Selection Screen. The current text is
overwritten.
Return to Input Screen
Press
to return to the Input Screen.
Read out the scanned line
The Voice icon
appears to the left of
the line of scanned text. When this icon is
selected, the entire line of text in the upper
screen is read out aloud.
1. Press to scroll to the Voice
icon to hear the entire line
read aloud. If the Highlight
Spoken Words option (see
page 36) is on, each word is
highlighted as it is spoken.
2. Press to hear the line
read aloud again.
