™ Case 1: When scanning a line which
includes both parts of a split verb - the
suggested definition for the word which is
the root of the verb (usually appearing first in
the sentence) will be the definition of the two
conjoined parts.
Example - when line includes both parts:
1. Scan a line that contains both parts of
a split verb, for example:
Er betet seine Frau an
2. In the Word Selection Screen press
till the word betet is highlighted.
3. Now press to reveal the definition
of the highlighted word in the lower
part of the screen.

™ Case 2: When scanning a line containing
only the root of a split verb (and not the
addition to it), then if the root exists as a
separate headword in the Duden dictionary -
you will initially get the definition of the root
itself – but in the Word List you will find a
special option “GETRENNTES VERB”.
Selecting this option will allow you to scan in
the addition to the root verb (from the
continuation of the sentence).
