The Character Bar
The Character Bar enables you to enter new text
manually, or to overwrite or insert characters within
the scanned text. The Character Bar can be
activated only if the Enable Edit Mode is on (see
page 38). To activate it, press
in the Input
Screen.
The Character Bar operates in either insert mode
or overwrite mode, according to the setting in the
Edit Menu (see page 49).
The Character Bar
The Character Bar contains the alphabet (in lower
case), as well as the following buttons:
Punctuation
If you scroll to the Punctuation button and
press
, it becomes the active sequence,
and a series of punctuation marks is
displayed.
Numbers
If you scroll to the Numbers button and
press
, it becomes the active sequence,
and numbers 0-9 are displayed.
Alphabet
If you scroll to the Numbers or Punctuation
button and press
, it becomes the active
