The system administrator also can specify whether the mailbox
should be activated if you do not answer your phone after a
certain time or if your extension is busy.

12.1.2 Deactivating

the

Mailbox

To deactivate your mailbox, do the following:

1.

Lift the handset and wait for a dial tone.

2.

Press #21# and

Wait for the verification tone.

3.

Press

to finish the procedure.

New incoming calls will be signalled on your phone again.

Note: The mailbox is still active if it is defined as pre-programmed diver-

sion address for the feature Diversion when there is no answer
and Diversion when your extension is busy.

12.1.3

Accessing the Mailbox

The first time you enter the mailbox, you might be asked to change your
password if it still is the default setting 000.

Note: To use the mailbox system, your extension has to be authorized

by the system administrator.

The following mailbox functions can be accessed from your own exten-
sion, any other internal extension or from an external position (for
example, mobile phone):

Listening to available messages.

Changing your personal greeting.

Sending messages.

Setting up external notification (configuration dependent).

Changing your password.

To access the mailbox from your extension, do the following:
