In a trim right performed in Overwrite mode, the IN point of an element is shifted
to the right (i.e. element trimmed) or to the left (i.e. element extended), impacting
what comes before in the timeline:
•
When the IN point of the element is shifted to the right, a blank of an
equivalent duration is added before the trimmed element.
•
When the IN point of the element is shifted to the left, the previous element is
reduced by an equivalent duration.
Example: Shift to the right
The following example shows a trim right in Overwrite mode where the element is
trimmed. A blank element is added in front of the trimmed element.
