MaP viEW
To change the map view mode on your
screen, press on the ‘Mode’ display
button on the upper left corner of the
screen to go through the displays. See
figure 4. Pick from the following:
Heading up- The vehicle icon points •
toward the direction of travel and
the map rotates under the icon as
you travel.
north up- The map stays stationary •
with north at the top and the vehicle
icon rotates in the direction of travel.
3D- The Map displays a 3D perspective. •
ZooM
To Zoom in and out, tap on the
magnify glass icon on the left side
of the screen. See figure 4. Set the
Zoom level by tapping on the plus (+)
or minus (-) buttons. The control to set
the zoom level will hide automatically
after a few seconds of inactivity.
BRoWsiNG
Tap anywhere on the map to enter
Browse Mode and be able to scan the
map freely. The browse mode cursor
appears. See figure 4.
To scan the map, simply tap and drag.
If you tap anywhere on the map or on
a street, the program centers the map
on that item and displays any available
information at the bottom.
If you tap on a Point of Interest (PoI)
icon, the program displays the name
of the POI at the bottom of the screen.
To view additional information, tap the
‘i’ information icon in the lower right
corner of the screen.
To exit Browse Mode, tap the ‘X’ in the
upper right corner of the screen.
ToUcH-aND-Go
The time-saving Touch-and-go feature
provides quick access to destinations
stored as Favorites. In addition, touch-
and-go provides intelligent find and go
capabilities using PoI selection criteria
you define and save as one-tap,
favorite POI search.
Tap the Touch-and-go button on the left
side of the screen (figure 4) to open the
‘Favorites’ selection page. See figure 5.
Tap on a selection, and then follow the
prompts to initiate voice guidance to the
selected location. To navigate multiple
pages, tap the Previous Page or next
Page arrow buttons that appear on the
left and right edges of the screen.
When you select a Favorite PoI Search
(in the Touch-and-Go selection pages),
the program immediately and at-once
processes all of the steps needed
to view a list of possible, nearby PoI
types you define, for example, the
nearest gas stations or the nearest
Mexican food restaurants.
Setting Up and Saving Favorite POI
Searches
In addition to providing quick access to
Favorites, Touch-and-Go lets you store
POI selection criteria as a Favorite POI
Search. In effect, when you select a
Favorite PoI Search, the program will
search for and display a list of PoIs
closest to your current location that
match the criteria you specified for
that stored type.
