3.13 Accessing the network camera over a VLC player
You have the possibility of accessing the H.264/MPEG-4/MJPEG data streams on the network camera with
an RTSP-compatible media player. The following free media players support RTSP:
 VLC Media Player
The address format for entering the connection data is as follows:
rtsp://Username:Password@IP-address:RTSP-Port/Videotype
Username: User name
Password: Password for the user name
IP-address: IP address or domain name
Videotype: h264, mpeg4, mjpeg
Example:
rtsp://admin:[email protected]:554/h264
Note:
In some circumstances, further options may be required for streaming using the VLC Player.
