5.2 Video

H.264 or MPEG-4 can be selected as the compression method for the first video stream (standard: MPEG-4).

H.264:

H.264 is used for the first video stream.

MPEG-4:

MPEG-4 is used for the first video stream.

Fixed Bit Rate:

The bit rate of the video stream can be limited to a specific average value. When the

image content changes significantly, this limit can be briefly exceeded. Value range:

28 kBit/s – 6 MBit/s

Fixed Quality:

The video quality can be defined on four levels. The higher the quality, the more

bandwidth is required by the network camera. The camera attempts to ensure the set

image quality without paying attention to the bandwidth.

Resolution:

UXGA = 1,600 x 1,200 pixels
VGA = 640 x 480 pixels
QVGA = 320 x 240 pixels

Frame Rate:

Select the maximum frame rate that can be provided for the video stream by the

camera. The maximum frame rate is different on H.264 and MPEG-4. The frame rate

is also reduced by activating the internal motion detection function in the camera.

H.264

MPEG-4

Continuous recording
(motion detection not configured)

15 frames/s

9 frames/s

Motion-triggered recording

9 frames/s

6 frames/s

Only MJPEG can be selected as the compression method for the second video stream. The resolution of the
second video stream is always identical to the first video stream (except on QVGA).

MJPEG:

H.264 is used for the second video stream.

Quality:

The video quality can be defined on four levels. The higher the quality, the more

bandwidth is required by the network camera.

Resolution:

See H.264/MPEG-4.

Frame Rate:

Select the maximum frame rate that can be provided for the video stream by the

camera. The frame rate is also reduced by activating the internal motion detection

function in the camera.

Accept the settings by
pressing “Apply”.
