Many milling applications require the milling head to be positioned

parallel to the ram. An example is when milling an adjacent wall.

The Z-axis slide attachment for the LM6200 Linear/Gantry Mill

bolts between the ram and the milling head and provides 7 inches

(178 mm) of travel in the z-axis. It can be mounted on the ram in 3

different positions – lower, middle, and upper. The milling head can

be attached to the Z-axis slide at 0 deg, 90, 180, or 270°.

A hand wheel or electric power feed can be used to turn the

ballscrew which advances the slide back and forth, allowing precise

positioning or travel during side machining operations, or additional

travel for drilling.

Features

• With the addition of this accessory, milling area is increased

2.5 times to a total machining area of 24.2 x 176 inches

(614.7 x 4470.4 mm) when using a 10 inch (254 mm) face mill

and upper & lower mounting positions.

• 7 inches (177.8 mm) of travel provides ample stroke.

• Drilling, even with longer bits, is now quick & easy with the longer

stroke available with this accessory.

• Z-axis feed can be manual or power fed.

• Travel across the bed without removing the Z-axis Slide in the

middle and upper positions.

• Total center to center spindle distance of 14.2 inches (360.7 mm)
